Another Colby Moment

So with a fast approaching birthday I have asked Colby several times what he wants for his birthday - really he has everything!

His first response was... "mom, whatever anyone gets me I will like it!"

Yesterdays response was... "money!" I said well what will you do with the money, he said..."go buy beautiful things for Avery!" - now come on, what kid doesnt rattle off 50 things he WANTS when ya ask em?! gotta love my little man! always thinking of others :)

I Stand CORRECTED!

Colby wanted his training wheels off his diego bike (big boy bike) and can totally ride it w/o the wheels! he impresses us everyday with his smart tactics!! I still cant believe it. He's awesome!

Family Biker Day!

We took the training wheels off Colbys little bike - the other week he got on it and has been riding w/o training wheels since. I think since its lower to the ground he feels safer. He is not ready to take the training wheels off his "big boy" bike yet. But can you believe it, not even 4 yet and riding bike ~
Go speed racer....

Avery is taking her car for a spin too!

my little tomboy!
Avery did NOT like sitting and watching us ride our bikes today from her seat in the stroller, so we let her come out and play too! EXCUSE ME!

Pacific Beach 2009

was a very small town, but had a great beach. We didnt get off to a great start, the first morning we were ther we went to the beach...windy, rainy and cold. However there were lots of sand dollars to we started to collect. We found ourselves out close to the water and before we knew it a "sneeker" wave came and we started to run from it...well picture this...

I have Avery strapped to my front in the Baby Bjorn, everyone is scattered about, Eric yelled "run" so as you can tell I wasnt going to far, then Colby is next to me and he starts to run from the fast approaching water...then he ran right out of his rain boots (they are new and about a size too big) then he falls to his knees by this time we are in the water, then there he goes, colby completing mowed over by water...no boots, drenched from head to toe in water and sand! NOT a pretty sight as I am ripping Avery off me to give to eric to keep her dry and dragging colby to the dry land...and fetching floating boots all at the same time!

However after that, we enjoyed the rest of the weekend, kite flying, bowling, 2 parades and good times! I didnt have our camera to capture this moment but here are a few others...Well Colby did say he wanted to go swimming...
